1. Why must I consider registering at AIL Madrid instead of at other schools?
AIL Madrid is located in the center of Madrid and possesses the highest quality teaching standards in the city due to our small groups (maximum 8 people, average 5) and the communicative methodology that is implemented) in our classes, maximising the learning of our students in the least possible time.
2. Who can study in AIL Madrid?
At first, the only requirement to study in AIL Madrid is to agree with our Tems and Conditions and to comply with our payment policy. The documentation that we request is necessary to complete the registration process and to place every student in a group according to their level.
3. I want to learn Spanish. Which course is most convenient for me?
It depends on the time that you want to spend, the intensity of the study you wish to undertake, and your learning goals. In AIL Madrid we offer a great variety of programs to cater to your different demands. Please consult one of our team members to look for the option that is most convenient to you.
4. Can I do my registration online?
Yes, it is possible to do the registration online.
5. Are there any other ways to register beside the internet?

6. How much will it cost me to study at AIL Madrid?
It depends on what your study needs are and for how long you wish to study. The Intensive Spanish Courses (20 classes per week) cost 155 Euros a week. The Super Intensive Spanish Courses (30 classes per week) costs 225 Euros per week. The Spanish and Dance Courses cost 260 Euros a week. A 10% discount is given on courses of 12 weeks or more.

8. What is the duration of the courses at AIL Madrid?
It depends on your needs. It can range from 1 week to 1year.
9. When can I begin the courses at AIL Madrid?
The group courses begin every Monday (except over Christmas). The groups for The Gap Year Program and The University Preparation begin on the first Monday of every month.

11. How do I fill out the enrolment form?
There are several fields that you must fill out:
- Your personal information (It is very important that you provide us with the means to contact you)
- Selected courses: Mark the check boxes of the courses you are interested in with an X; if you choose the option of individual classes, please indicate the number of classes that you wish to take.
- Social and Cultural Activities: you can indicate your interest in attending them - these are offered at no extra cost!.
- Start date:when you wish to begin the courses and the number of weeks you wish to study with us.
- Accommodation: if you would like AIL Madrid to arrange your accommodation, you can choose between Spanish family, Shared flat , Student Residence and Hotel . Otherwise, you can arrange your own accommodation and you will only pay for the price of the course.
- Airport Pick-up: You can request that an AIL Madrid representative pick you up at the Airport. Our Spanish and English speaking representative will already have your accommodation details and will guide you to your destiny in Madrid. This service costs 75 euros to escort you from the airport to your place of stay, if you also would like to be escorted back to the airport upon the completion of your studies as well, then the servcice costs 125 euros.
12. What is the difference between the 200 Euros deposit and the 50 Euros matriculation fee?
200 Euros are necessary to reserve your place and are discounted off any amount pending of payment. The 50 Euros include the price of the matriculation, the welcome pack and the welcome dinner. These 50 Euros are not paid in inscriptions superior to 23 weeks
13. How much time do I need to learn Spanish?
It depends on the level that you have, the proximity of your mother language to Spanish, the number of hours of study and of your ability to learn foreign languages and the level that you want to achieve. As a minimum, an absolute beginner will need four weeks to be able to develop basic communication skills and three months to be able to use the Spanish in the working place.
14. What levels of Spanish are given in AIL Madrid?
In AIL Madrid Spanish classes are given from absolute beginner level to advanced level (university entry / complete fluency).
15. Where do AIL Madrid’s students come from?
By country of origin: approximately 55% come from Europe, 25% from North America, 15 % from Asia and 5% from other countries.
By age group: 40% are between 18 and 29, 35% between 30 and 49, and 25% are 50 or older.
By occupation: 35% are full-time students, 60% are full-time workers and 5% are retired citizens.
By sex, 45% are men and 55% are women.
16. How many students per year does AIL Madrid receive and what is the distribution throughout the year?
There are approximately 350 students enrolled on the intensive programs (Intensive Spanish Course, Super Intensive Spanish Course, Gap Year, Business Spanish, etc.) per year with an average of 30 students per week throughout the year (20 in December).

The School is located in Calle Nuñez de Balboa. The nearest underground Metro stations are Velásquez (line 4) and Príncipe de Vergara (line 2 and 9).

3. What makes the difference between AIL Madrid and Other Schools?

4. At what time do the classes start?
AIL Madrid is opened Monday through Thursday, from 9am to 10pm and Friday from 9am to 6pm. There are different classes going on during the whole day, offering always a schedule adapted to the possibilities of our students.
5. What does AIL Madrid guarantee?
- That you will not find a course with similar typical in the whole Madrid with better relation quality - price.
- That the deposit (200 Euros) will be returned to you in the event that your request of a Student's visa is revoked.
6. What is the professional formation of AIL Madrid's teachers?
All our teachers possess studies of Post Graduate degrees, certifications for the teaching of the Spanish as foreign language and they have vast experience in the areas of teaching Spanish as foreign language.

AIL Madrid opened in 2006.
1. Is AIL Madrid a company that manages internships in companies for foreigners?
No, AIL Madrid is an language academy of Spanish which offers the possibility of looking for internships in companies for students that are registered on the Spanish with Work Placement Option program.
2. What does the Spanish with Work Placement Option program consist of?
It consists in the completion of an internship in a company (generally not remunerated) after the completion of a minimum of an 8 week Spanish course. The internship can last between 3 and 6 months, with the possibility of an extension if the student is interested. There are very diverse areas of work placement offered by the program.
3. Can I have access to remunerated internships?
The possibility exists, but it is more normal to find unpaid practices. Remunerated internships is an option opened only to the students who come from the European Union. The students who come from other countries would need a visa of work to do remunerated work. AIL Madrid will be able to help you obtain a student visa but we cannot help you obtain a working visa.
4. In what consists the option of being employed at AIL Madrid?
It is possible to apply for a working position at our offices in exchange for a free Spanish course . These positions are limited and are subject to AIL Madrid's needs.
1. What is it?
It is an education program of Spanish specially directed to mature students, with a methodology of learning and a list of activities geared to their interests.
2. Can I sign up as an individual?
Yes. One of the aims of the program Club 50+ is to meet new people who share similar interests.
3. What am I going to learn?
Besides learning to speak Spanish you will also learn: spanish culture, latin and spanish dance, the different regions of Spain, latin traditions, etc.
4. Why Madrid?
For the excellent communication with the rest of Spain, for its cosmopolitan environment and for the variety of cultural and social activities that take place here in the capital.
5. In what does AIL Madrid´s Club 50+ differentiate from the tourist tours for mature people?
Besides enjoying your leisure and free time, you will benefit personally from the new cultural experience and you will learn new linguistic skills that they will help you communicate better in your future trips, in understanding movies, songs, and persons who come from other Spanish speaking countries, etc.
6. How long does the Club 50+ program take?
One or Two weeks. This program begins at specific dates.
7. What kind of activities am I going to do?
In addition to the Spanish classes, you will do diverse socio-cultural activities such as going to the theatre, participate in discussions about the History of Spain and receive dance classes.
8. How much does this program cost?
The program costs 210 euros for one week, and 420 euros for 2 weeks.
1. Who has access to the Spanish University?
Actually, any person has access to Spanish education, but the admission process turns out to be easier for the students that are residents of countries member of the European Higher Education Space since they can apply under the same conditions that the Spanish students have. The people coming from other countries have 1% of the places reserved in Spanish universities and will have to take an admission test.
There is also the possibility of studying in a university as a Student Visitor. In this case only a University Certificate of the subjects studied will be issued.
2. How can AIL Madrid help me enter a Spanish university?
AIL Madrid helps you in the linguistic preparation and in the adjustment to the Spanish educational system needed for your admission process and for you to obtain the best results possible.
3. In what can AIL Madrid help me study if I do not need to take an admission test?
In dealing with university studies in a foreign country it will be of great help for you to have prior linguistic reinforcement and some training in the methodology of academic work habits in this country.
4. In which Spanish universities can I enrol? What are the deadline dates?
You can apply in any of them, though they may have different quotas and requirements. In private universities, the admission process is usually simpler.

1. To Whom are individual classes aimed at?
The individual classes are intended specially for students who need to accelerate their learning, that learn best with a fully personalized attention, or that wish to make a strong emphasis on a specific area of the language (eg. Spanish for business, pronunciation, conversation for the commercial relations, etc.)
2. Is there a mandatory number of classes that I should take?
No, you can take as many individual classes as you wish, starting from 1 individual class. Of course, increasing the number of individual sessions decreases the price of the sessions (from 45 Euros down to 40).
3. If I want to take individual classes, do I have I to be registered also in another AIL Madrid's course?
No, Individual classes can either be taken by themselves or to complement AIL Madrid's group Spanish Courses.
4. At what hours are individual classes given?
The schedules are established between the teacher and the student. Individual classe can be held between 9 am and the 6 pm.
5. Who teaches the individual classes?
AIL Madrid's teachers. They all are native Spanish speakers, with Post Graduate studies and vast experience in the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language.
6. What are the differences between learning in an individual form and learning in group?
Individual: the speed of the learning process is adapted to the needs of the students, the work is intensive and any errors and shortcomings are dealt with in a very individualized form.
Group: the groups are small and the attention is also very personalized. This form of learning is easier because it engages the class implying a greater social contact (which makes it more motivating) and it involves a wider scope in the students´ environment.
1. What is the DELE?
The DELE (Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language) is the official accreditation degree of fluency of the Spanish Language, issued and recognised by the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport.
2. Who organises the DELE?
The Instituto Cervantes is the institution in charge of organising the exams, while the University of Salamanca is in charge of the preparation, correction and final evaluation of all the tests.
3. How many DELE's levels are there?
There are four levels : A1, Initial (B1), Intermediate (B2) and Superior (C2)
4. How much is it to prepare the DELE with AIL Madrid?
- The 2 week course (20 weekly hours of class) costs 340 Euros, plus 50 Euros for the registration fees.
- The 3 week course (20 weekly hours of class) costs 495 Euros, plus 50 Euros for the registration fees.
- The 4 week course (20 weekly hours of class) costs 660 Euros, plus 50 Euros for the registration fees.
5. Is there an additional fee to register in the DELE?
The Instituto Cervantes charges a fee exists to take the examination. this ranges between 120 and 150 Euros, depending on the level of exam that that is taken.
6. Can I sign up for the DELE if I am citizen of a country where Spanish is not the official language?
You must satisfy at least two of the following conditions to register:
a- Spanish is not the native language of either of your parents.
b- Spanish is not the first language that you learned.
c- Spanish is not the usual language you use for communicating.
d- Spanish has not been the main langauge in total or part of your primary or secondary education.
7. Why is the advantage of having the DELE diploma?
With the DELE you can demonstrate your level of Spanish to the majority of the public and private educational institutions, companies, chambers of trade, international organisations, etc.
8. When are the DELE's examinations taking place?
The upcoming sessions will be on the following dates:
November 13th and 14th , 2009: registration deadline until October 16th.
May 21st and 22nd, 2010: registration deadline until April 16th.
August 20th, 2010: registration deadline until July 30th.
November 19th and 20th, 2010: registration deadline until October 15th.
9. What advantages are there to prepare for the DELE at AIL Madrid?
- You will receive a personalized attention (maximum 6 students per group)
- You will Practise with previous DELE tests.
- The courses are done just before the examinations, to maximize the results of the students.
10. How many students that take the DELE course actually pass the exam?
In the past two years over 70% of those who took the course passed the exam.
1. Of what does consist Gap Year Program that AIL Madrid offers?
AIL Madrid offers the possibility of doing a break in your work life, academic or personal path to learn Spanish and to do other things that will enrich you enormously and will be a good addend to your CV
2. What other things can I do at AIL Madrid besides Spanish studies?
You can do a few work internships, you can learn Flamenco ( Andalusian gipsy) and Latin dance, you can obtain the DELE certificate, you can study Spanish in several cities where Spanish is spoken or you can even learn some another language.
3. How long does the Gap Year Program take?
A minimum of 12 weeks and a maximum of one year.
4. What is the Multi Cities course?
It is the possibility of taking your courses of Spanish in other cities besides Madrid. It has a minimal duration of 8 weeks and is mandotory to take the first four weeks of classes in Madrid.
5. In what other cities can I study with the course Multicities?
In the cities where we have associate schools in Spain (Barcelona, Salamanca, Valencia, Granada).
6. How much does the Gap Year cost at AIL Madrid?
It depends of the weeks in which you choose to start the program and of the activities that you decide to participate in.
