Going on a journey gives you a deeper insight into the world, people, and cultures. Travel also broadens your horizons and allows you to get to know yourself better and learn more about what you want.
Combining the acquisition of a foreign language with getting to know the cultures and places in which the same language is spoken seems to many of our students as the perfect way to have fun and make a gap year “worthwhile”.
Gap Yearers discovering the streets of Madrid
Many people who opt for a year out not only wish to spend the time studying a foreign language, but also wish to challenge themselves whilst travelling through foreign places.
A gap year spent travelling can, and will, present great challenges for you, and so it allows for the likelihood that you will gain important life skills in areas such as communication, decision-making, resilience, and initiative.
Our gap year program offers you the possibility to do this. We have gap year partner institutes in many places within Spain.
In Spain, a country which displays great cultural variety and vastly different geographical regions – e.g. the Arabic influences in the South (Andalucía) and the landscapes of the North (resembling English landscapes, with a slight tendency towards rainy weather resulting in green hills) – we offer several locations to study during your gap year.
