As a part of your Spanish & Dance Program, you will join
4 practical and 2 theoretical dance lessons per week while staying with AIL Madrid for your Spanish course. These lessons let you experience the Spanish way of living trough learning typical Spanish dances as well as the cultural and historical background of dancing in Spain.
After some clases, you will feel the latin rhythm in your blood and soon you will be able to attack the dance floor in Spanish and Latin clubs and bars.
So put on your dancing shoes and move!
For your
4 practical dance lessons per week, we offer the traditional
Salsa,
Tango,
Flamenco and
Sevillanas but you can also learn other kinds of dance like modern or belly dance. Please just let us know in which dance you are interested in and we will arrange the class for you.

We also offer individual dance lessons for those who want a more personalized class. With one-to-one dance lessons you will have the full attention of your teacher, who will help you to perfection your dance skills and generally help you learn faster.
Your dance lessons are typically scheduled in the evening between. 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. The exact time of your lessons will depend on the dances you have chosen. Our Spanish and Latin dance theory lesson consist of
2 classroom-based dance theory classes per week. These classes are varied with topics including:
• history and origin of Spanish and Latin American dance
• the role of dance in Spanish and Latin American culture
• regional Spanish dances
• Spanish and Latin American dance etiquette
• dance specific vocabulary such as un paso hacia un lado (a side step), un giro (a pivot), and una milonga (Latin American dance party)
The Spanish and Latin American dance theory lesson make you fully understand and appreciate Spanish dance culture. They will also help you learn the vocabulary you will need for your practical dance lessons and help you advance much quicker.
