Spanish Courses and Cultural Immersion Group Program for Universities 

AIL Madrid – The Spanish Language Specialists

We offer quality intensive Spanish courses for everyone in a fun and friendly environment. We assure our students an enjoyable and enriching experience. Our school is located in the heart of barrio de Salamanca in the center of Madrid and offers modern facilities appropriate for studying Spanish. We are proud of our school, our Spanish courses and our team of attentive teachers who are always available to help our students. We guarantee that every student will rapidly improve his level of Spanish.

Our Group Program

We have developed a personalized program, especially designed for students who wish to improve their Spanish in Madrid. If you wish to organize a trip for a group of 5 to 40 University students focused on learning the language, this is the program that you need! We offer you more than a simple language course. It is a complete program composed of fun activities to help you get to know the Spanish culture. In the same manner, living with our Spanish host families, guarantees you total language and cultural immersion.

A one week program (355€ per person) consists of:

• 20 hours of Spanish classes
• 10 hours of cultural activities
• 6 nights (half board) with a Spanish host family

There is free accommodation for 1 teacher for every 15 students.The program can  start any Monday of the year and has a minimum duration of one  week.

Spanish Classes

Courses consist of 20 hours of classes per week (4 hours per day Monday through Friday). The courses take place in the morning or in the afternoon, so students can have half of the day free to enjoy Madrid and practice their Spanish in the city. We will place students in groups according to their level of Spanish. If your group is composed of 5 to 7 people, we will integrate students into already existing groups. We offer courses for all levels of Spanish, from a beginner level to advanced. The courses have been created in such a manner that the students can learn and have a fun experience at the same time. Upon completion of their Spanish classes, each student will receive a certificate that corresponds to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, to confirm the participation in Spanish courses and level of Spanish accomplished.

Our teachers:

• Are native Spanish speakers
• Have passed through rigorous selection
• Are qualified to teach Spanish as a foreign language
• Have many years of experience

Accommodation

We offer your group the opportunity to stay with a Spanish host family which is the best way to practice Spanish and integrate into the Spanish culture. Generally we place two students per home, in double rooms. All of our accommodations include half board (breakfast and dinner), as well as cleaning and laundry service if necessary. We guarantee students will receive the best living experience.

Our families:

• Must fulfill rigorous criteria in order to be selected by AIL Madrid
• Are native Spanish speakers
• Live in the center of Madrid 
• Are used to accommodating foreigners who do not speak or speak very little Spanish
• Cook typical Spanish dishes and provide a balanced, nutritious and varied diet

We guarantee a house that is:

• Situated in safe residential neighborhoods
• Well equipped and pleasant
• Equipped with a personal closet and desk in each room

Cultural and Social Activities

All of our activities are accompanied by an AIL Madrid guide.

A walk in the District of Salamanca

This is one of the few areas in Madrid which has defined urban streets, described as squared apples in the shape of squares and streets that are completely orthogonal. It is famous for being known as one of the wealthiest neighbourhoods in the city.

Visit to the Prado Museum

The Prado Museum is a gallery of very important Spanish art and is one of the most beautiful, well-known museums in the entire world. The Prado is enormous and impossible to see in full in only a few hours, therefore, we suggest a selection of the most important work of Velázquez, Goya and el Greco.

Visit to the Royal Palace of Madrid

The Royal Palace of Madrid is the official residence of the King of Spain, an impressive establishment that helps us to understand the luxury and way of life of the Borbones in Spain. It is a palace with many unique protocols, inside you can find many artistic commodities. It’s really worth a visit!

Visit to the Museo Reina Sofia

The Museo Reina Sofía is one of the most beautiful and modern galleries of art in the world. The collection covers a period extending from the end of the 19th century to present day. The creation of the Museo Nacional de Arte Reina Sofia responds to the need for a museum reflecting the contemporary art of Spain in an international context. You will discover the celebrated work of art, the Guernica by Pablo Picasso.

Cooking classes: prepare spanish tapas

Introduce your students to the culinary art of Spain: Tapas. Through our fun and simple cooking classes, we share with you the secrets of preparing one or more recipes (gazpacho, tortilla de patata, ensaladilla rusa, pan con tomate y jamón etc.).
