Free mobile phone rental for AIL Madrid Spanish Students


At AIL Madrid we want you to be comfortable in your new environment while at the same time staying in touch with loved ones from home. This is why we offer all students* either:
  • The free rental of a Spanish pay-as-you-go mobile phone; or
  • The free rental of Spanish mobile SIM card to place in your mobile from home.
We know by experience that arriving in a foreign country implies a lot of complication, most of them involving the language. This service gives you the peace of mind that you can be reachable by your family and friends from your very first day of school.


How does the service work?

  • Request your mobile phone or SIM card at least one week before arrival.
  • You will receive your mobile phone on your first day of school in exchange of a 30€ cash deposit, along with its number.
  • The mobile phone is given with no credit. You can buy credit to add credit to your Spanish mobile very easily in tobacconists, mobile phone shops or at ATMs. AIL Madrid will provide all the information on how to do this.
  • The mobile phone is to be handed back on your last day of school and your deposit is returned.

* Terms and Conditions 

  • Offer available to students enrolled on Spanish courses of 20 hours per week
  • A deposit of 30 Euros is required. The deposit is returned when the mobile / SIM is handed back. Please note, no money is returned for any credit left on the phone.
