CCSE Vorbereitungskurs: a teacher’s view

Hi there!

I’m Paloma M and I’m here to give you the scoop on AIL Madrid’s CCSE preparation exam!

Are you living in Spain and want to obtain a Spanish citizenship? As of October 2015, you’ll be required to take the Constitutional and Socio-cultural Knowledge test (CCSE). Here at AIL Madrid, we have more than 9 years of experience teaching Spanish and Spanish culture to foreigners and are a CCSE certified exam center, so we’re confident that our tailored preparation course will give you all the knowledge and strategy needed to ace the test: the final necessary step to securing your new national identity! I know this process can mean a lot and be quite stressful, which is why having an experienced team to guide you through can make all the difference! To give you an idea, the course covers these exam topics, divided into two subcategories:

  • Cultural references
  • General knowledge of Hispanic countries (geography, economy and politics, regional and administrative organization...)
  • Key people and events from history and the modern day (historic and legendary people and events, important social and cultural events and personalities from Spanish society and culture)
  • Cultural productions and creations (literature, music, film... )
  • Sociocultural knowledge and behaviours
  • Quality of life and social class (personal identity, family, national holidays, education, higiene…)
  • Interpersonal relationships (in the public and private spheres, in the workplace/on a professional level, in education)
  • Collective identity and lifestyle (sense of and allegiance to a social sphere, tradition and social change, spirituality and religion, cultural integration…)
