SIELE Exam

SIELE is one of the most important exams to receive an official certificate of Spanish. It allows you to evaluate and certify your grade of Spanish language electronically and it is recognised by international organisations in education and language. This exam references the levels established by the ‘Marco Común Europeo de Referencia para las Lenguas’, and is promoted by the ‘Instituto Cervantes’, the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, the Universidad de Salamanca and the Universidad de Buenos Aires. It guarantees quality standards and good practice in the making of these exams, and the use of distinctive linguistic variety from the Hispanic world.

Structure of the SIELE Exam preparation classes

Our preparation classes for the SIELE Exam are private lessons, as that’s the best way to prepare for the exam. You decide how many classes you wish to take, where (the AIL centre, at home, in the office), and when you want to have them. The classes are exclusively focused on exam preparation. They will enable you to acquire an exhaustive knowledge of everything that you need to know, as well as the best method with which to approach the exam.

Your exam

You can choose between 5 types of exam to adapt to your needs of qualification and certification.

SIELE Global:

It is the most complete exam to certify your Spanish language. It is a unique multi-level exam that enables you to get the SIELE certificate, a document that includes a mark from 0 to 1000, made up of your results from each of the four tests and relating to the levels of the ‘Marco Común Europeo de Referencia para las Lenguas’ (MCER). The four tests are in reading comprehension, listening comprehension, written expression and interaction, and oral interaction.

Independent classifications:

There are 4 other types of exam based on the combinations of different tests. Any of these independent classifications allow you to gain a SIELE Report and the accompanying MCER language level.

There are these classifications available:

  • Reading and listening comprehension
  • Reading comprehension and written expression and interaction
  • Listening comprehension and spoken expression and interaction
  • Spoken expression and interaction

If you are not sure which type of exam you want to do, get in contact with us and we can evaluate your current level of Spanish and recommend which exam you should take.
